Sexual Abuse

Sexual Abuse is a form of Sexual Violence, according to the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN). "The term 'sexual violence' is an all-encompassing, non-legal term that refers to crimes like sexual assault, rape, and sexual abuse."

The Types

RAINN states that there are multiple types of sexual violence. Sexual Assault, Child Sexual Abuse, Sexual Assault of Men and Boys, Intimate Partner Sexual Violence, Incest, and Drug-Facilitated Sexual Assault.

vary from state to state. There are often other crimes and forms of violence that arise jointly with crimes like sexual assault, and these are described as well."
